(More customer reviews)I wanted a stereo that was louder then a clock radio but smaller then my home stereo. I also wanted to be able to plug in my MP3 player. There weren't a lot of units to chose from so I went with Sony. The stereo sounds good even when cranked up. It's definitely louder then any portable CD player or iPod dock that I've heard. The only drawbacks are that it's not "portable", the speakers don't attach to the stereo. Also, the Digital Media port only fits iPods. There's an "audio in" port for other MP3 players but I had to buy an adapter.
EDIT: 4-15-09I just saw the Sony with the Subwoofer at Walmart for $20 less then 'zon. Buyers beware.
