AM/FM/Cassette Stereo Recorder Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The computer is marking this a two-star item when all I indicated is one star.If no stars were possible I'd mark that.

The first day I received this radio I tried a pre-recorded cassette tape.It played all right -so after a couple of minutes I shut it off, put in a fresh tape, and tried to record a radio program.

The radio played all right, but it failed to record. The tape did not advance. And it was also the last time I could produce even a hint of sound out of an old tape.

Perhaps the radio thought I should be honored at sitting in on its last gasp.I was not.

Yes, it's a cheap item but I feel it should have given me at least a solid week's performance before it lay over on its back.

To return it for repairs or replacement would make the loss even greater because the shipping expenses are so high.

I have ordered a new Sony from another source at considerably more expense. The new one is supposed to play CD's as well as tapes, which is not really what I wanted - but I simply could not find another simple radio/cassette recorder.

A most unpleasant experience was had by all.

Boombox Digital Am/fm Radio Remote Control 20 Watts White Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I had, well I actually still HAVE but I can't USE, a Memorex iMove Mi3005.

I paid around $100 for it and really loved using it for the two years it lived. We're pretty well-stocked in the way of iPod accessories (iLuv clock/radio, iPod dock on our surround sound, iTravel, and then our PCs themselves), so I only actually used it outside and on a couple of family vacations. For us it did the trick, playing my iPod while relaxing with friends outside during our 3 1/2 months of summer here PLUS it was portable enough to take when we went away.I loved the way it looked with its built-in handle, and never thought the sound was lacking.I actually never thought anything about it was negative at all.Until now.

Just today, after not using it for the past eight months I plugged it in and went to turn it on and NOTHING!The power pack attached to the electric cord shows the green light, but hit that on/off button and absolutely nothing happens.Oh, well, the display did illuminate for a nano-second on one or two of my tries, but that was about it.Googled the problem and it seems I'm not alone.Quite a few others have posted this issue in several different forums but there's not ONE solution posted at all...just that others are indeed experiencing the same problem.

So I'm kind of in the middle here.I liked it a lot, but I bet I'd used it no MORE than 40 or 50 times. Was it worth the money for two years of only occasional use?Ummm, for me, no.And I'm kinda bummed because ***I*** was the one who out-and-out refused to take my boombox down to the beach for fear of ruining it (always stayed up in the beach house)! So it was well taken care of...nothing I did to cause this problem, of that I'm sure.

Take this for what it's worth. They've REALLY come down in price so you might want to give it a shot...it wasn't a bad product while it worked. As for me, I just bought a Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere. We're going to see if we have better luck with that one!

Memorex Mi3005BLK iMove Boombox for iPod (Black) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I spent a lot of time searching for some type of speakers that were not going to cost a lot for my daughters iPod Nano.I wanted to get something that would recharge the iPod while she was listening to it and something she could carry around.
The iMove comes with 8 adapters for most iPod's (4th Generation, iPod Photo, iPod w/Video, iPod mini, iPod nano). It did not come with an adapter for the new metal case iPod nano, but Memorex offers a free adapter if you call them at 1-800-321-6993.
The sound is descent and as good as anything I shopped for in the price range up to $120, has a digital display and comes with a radio which is nice as well.

(More customer reviews)My husband bought this from Walmart a couple of weeks ago for our daughter to listen to at night when she is going to sleep.Already the CD player has quit working.Regardless of what disc is put in the player won't read it.So now we have a child who is at this moment upset that she can't fall asleep without her music and we have thrown away our money on this worthless product.I hope others read this warning and don't make the same mistake we did.

Memorex Portable CD Boombox Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have this same boombox but mine is more black (model MP8806)

I bought this from Walmart and I was looking for an affordable boombox to listen to some audio book cds while working.Well this was affordable but the quality is not good.

For one thing there is no headphone jack for my daughter to listen to her disney cds quietly, I thought all boomboxes had headphone jacks??I had one on my old one 20 years ago!

The sound quality is very muffled and hollow sounding. NOT GOOD!

I would not recommended this.Keep looking for a better deal or just pay the extra money for one with a 5 star rating. That's why I'm on Amazon right now.
