(More customer reviews)I was so excited to receive my iMode from my wife for Christmas 2008. All the main features seemed to work -- AM/FM Radio, iPod, Alarm Clock x 2 -- except the remote control. It comes with a battery. Since it didn't worked, I assumed it was drained and I replaced it with a new battery. It still didn't work. This was disappointing, because this was not a simple on/off remote. This remote allowed the user to complete EVERY function that can be done on the console of the iMode itself. This is a rare completely inclusive remote for the price.

I called the maker of iMode for a replacement remote since the product is under warranty. I was told to exchange it at the store for a new one (makes sense). I asked what to do if the store didn't have it, and Curtis told me to call them back for a remote. The store was indeed sold out of them, and was not planning on restocking after the holiday (holiday promotion). I called iMode maker back as requested. They told me that I must return it to the store, that the store must call iMode maker to explain that they sold a product with faulty remote, Curtis would then send the new remote to the store where I could pick it up. After all this above action taken, iMode maker told the store that the customer must request the remote under the warranty. I'm done...I left the iMode at the store and requested a full refund. I'm sad to write this review, since the product is potentially great (especially for the bang for the buck), but the low quality of the product and the low quality of the customer service and return policy/protocol, left me with the feeling of iMust Return My iMode.

I grew up poor but happy and now that I am on my own, I like to make sure I am getting my moneys worth of anything I buy. This ipod dock may be small but don't underestimate its high quality and simple design because of its size!

I compose music and am acutely aware of the tonal frequencies when listening to my music in different speakers. These speakers are extremely high quality and have a surprisingly full spectrum of sound. The high end frequencies (5k-20k hrtz) are crisp and clear and the low end frequencies such as the bass (80-140) and even a minute portion of sub the bass (40-79) comes through very nicely. I was really surprised and just sat there looking at these little speakers in amazement the first time I plugged in my ipod.

The handy remote makes it so convenient while at work, I don't have to get up and go over to the cabinet across the room when I get a call or some one stops by my office. The remote also accesses menu options on your ipod! I can find a new play list, choose to shuffle or repeat with the remote!!! Sometimes during lunch when I am out at the coffee shop with free wifi, I drain my ipod battery by downloading new apps or movies. Plugging in my ipod to this dock charges it back up!

I have to admit, I did not have to purchase this because I won it as a bingo prize. Had I walked past this little thing in a store I would not have given it a chance but now owning it for a week now, I absolutely love it! It is worth the money they are charging on Amazon!
It is an extremely high quality product!

(More customer reviews)Excellent for travellers, but as a fellow audiophile, I have had to accept some shortcomings of the amp. The speakers are full range and the enclosure has no harmonics of its own which is rare in portables. Bass is warm and drives down low enough to make you wonder how the 2 little 2 3/4" drivers can produce warm bass guitar chords with aplomb. The tweeters are efficient and high sensitivity. Infact, they are accurate with music but also reveal both a benefit and a flaw of the design:
If you want to fall asleep to it next to your bed, the background hiss thats present at all volumes consitently(it doesnt get louder as you turn it up)this hiss could annoy you. I can sleep to it, but end up facing the tweeters away from me to attenuate the hiss. I only notice it between songs and when I am in very quiet settings. If you can tolerate placing it away about 6-10 feet and don't mind hearing the hiss during very quiet sections, its a great unit. I never notice the hiss outside or at engagements or with others. If you want something thats built tougher than other items I have owned both by Altec and other vendors, I will add that the battery capability is why you need to deal with the shortcomings of a Class D amp, whereas IC based solid stateunits are cleaner on the sound, but will never let you crank tunes for 8 hours on the beach at good volume so you can actually hear the sound will wading/swimming close to shore. The conveniences, and ALTEC's time to market with an evolved product explain some of the nuances I describe, but this will not be a choice I second guess, I have HiFi where I need it, at home, in my car and via my $500 headphones, but at the beach, in a hotel pool, or after nice day on the boardwalk, its a great way to share music for hours with good sound, great design and outstanding build quality. I chose it over their iM3, iM5 and the iM7 wont do, its too big! The iM11 has good sound and less hiss but not for the on the go, outdoors types. This item appears to have been well thought out and will be an addition to anyone who wants to utilized their ipod on the go in addition to an active lifestyle in environemnts less than optimal for the desk monger speakers so ubiquitous in the iPod speaker arena.

iLuv i277BLK iPod Alarm Clock Audio System with Bluepin (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)This is really a cool product. I was able to pair with my Mobile(HTC TyTN II), Headphone/Headset (Lubix) very easily. It got paired in the first try. The instructions are pretty clear in the manual. Music is good for the small size, Bass is less, naturally. Can't compare with Bose. The music from my Phone through the BluePin on this is really good. The Blupin Receiver was able to receive music till 15-20 feet clearly, after that it breaks. I was able to FF/RR/Stop, Adjust volume from my phone.

As a Bluetooth transmitter, it works great. I connected my TV Audio output to 277 using the line-in and change the mode to AUX with BluePin in TX mode and used a Lubix Bluetooth Head Phone/Set. The transmission was awesome.

Tested with iPod/iPhone and this works as stated. The snooze button in the front is good one. Even we can switch off the display using this. Radio works as stated. Weight less. Looks great. Has a remote but not senstive.

Actually I was searching for a Bluetooth Transmitter for my TV. The Sony and Motorola were quoted @ Amazon for $60. I thought it's pretty costly for the simple Bluetooth Transmitter of class 1. So searched the net and found this for same price. So now I have a Transmitter with multiple functionality.

So this is an All in one model.

Pros

1) Receiver for my Phone to listen music
2) Wireless Transmitter to my TV, so I can watch the TV without disturbing anybody using my Bluetooth head phone
3) Listening to iPod/Radio in Wireless mode with full control.

If you read the manual twice , it easy to understand everything.

Cons

1) The cons, I would say is that it's not Bluetooth2(has 300Ft of range) only Bluetooth1 (30 Ft range)
2) No Equalizer/Pre-set for music.
3) Remote can be made better.

The look is so cute with great little details on the knobs showing a mic or a guitar for that particular knob purpose. As soon as it came out of the box, I sang for like an hour. Also I got a really good deal, only 24.95 for this instead of the 69.99 amazon price. Get this deal fast, it really is too good to be true.

Philips DC1010 CD Sound Machine with iPod Dock (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)There are no other reviews for this "sound machine" yet, so I thought I would share my experience.I wanted a portable speaker unit with a CD player for my ipod, since I use both CDs and my ipod for my work.

This "sound machine" does have the ipod dock, CD player and AM/FM radio.It also has a bass-boost button (which sounds like it "boosts" the bass a little).
It also has a decent volume level.

First problem, this ipod dock did NOT come with the adapter for the most recent Nano (4th generation).Therefore, the Nano just kind of looks silly sitting in the large opening in the front of the player.Because of this fact, I was concerned that it would be easy to bump the Nano around and potentially cause damage to the connector.(I do not know if this can actually happen, I am just assuming that it could, since the Nano does not appear to be properly secured.)

Secondly, the sound quality is only fair.It sounds tinny (if that's a word) and almost a bit fuzzy, like a radio station that's not perfectly tuned-in(that's the best way I can describe it).It's not static, but it was noticeable enough that I instinctivly rechecked my power cord connection and ipod placement.
I have a less expensive, but comparable CD player (without ipod dock) that has MUCH better and clearer sound than this.
No, the price of this player/ipod dock is not high, I still expected a bit more.

Third, the "sound machine" just looks cheap.It's just the first impression I got when I opened the box.Again, my cheaper CD player looks nicer and sturdier than this one.

We are sending our machine back and have decided that, for this price, maybe we will just buy a dock/speakers without the additional CD player.
Good luck, maybe I am just super picky.

He wanted one for his office to use to charge his iphone as well as play his music. I went looking for another and found it in pink (matches my ipod:). It has a really good sound for the price, is light weight and packs easily. I have not tried using batteries because I haven't needed to.I have not used the radio either but I didn't buy it for that.If you are looking for something inexpensive, small and moble with good sound quality toplay your ipod or iphone this is a great buy.I can turn it up pretty loud with no static or feedback from the speakers but if you are looking for something to blast everyone out at the beach, I suggest you keep looking.

(More customer reviews)I've been looking for a small portable stereo / cd player / iphone player for a few months now. I finally settled and took a chance on the RCA RCD175i. Not because I found so many great and helpful reviews. That sure didn't happen! I couldn't even find one review, lol I purchased this mainly because it looked nice and had most of the features I was looking for. The RCA RCD175i came in perfect new condition and was packed well thanks to Amazon. The speakers sound good for their size. They can fill a decent sized room with plenty of sound. It's no JBL or Bose, but you get what you pay for. The cd player is tray loading which is kind of a neat feature on a portable stereo. It also came with a free Santana cd in the tray? I'm not a big Santana fan, but that's still cool. The iphone dock works great. It charges the iphone and you can control the iphone's music skip and play/pause features with the remote. This stereo takes 6 D size batteries if you want it to be fully portable. I haven't used the radio yet. You really don't need a radio when you have the I Heart Radio app on your iphone. The only thing I wish this had is a better way of docking the iphone. Don't get me wrong the dock is fine and works as it should, but I like the front docking and cover idea like on the Sony ZSS4IP because you can carry it around while the iphone is playing and it helps protect too. Over all I'm very happy with my purchase. I hope this review is helpful.

(More customer reviews)I was looking for speakers and something to keep my iPod charged while I listened to it at work and saw this advertised at Kohl's.Checked Amazon and found it for less (and in black).Most iPod boomboxes get poor reception but this one does better than most I have seen.I have the iLuv iPod boombox for use at home but wanted something a little smaller for work.Radio gets suprisingly clear reception (usually a problem in offices) and the sound is good.Defintely not useful for a party but if you want something inexpensve, portable, with good sound and an AM/FM radio, this gets the job done.My only complaint is that the LED display can be hard to see at an angle, but that is a minor issue.
