(More customer reviews)So, I happened along this item, and thought "gee this looks cool and is a good price."I have been looking for one of these systems for my ipod, but have felt that they were too expensive.Natually, when I saw that this was under $50, I could not resist. Boy I sure should have!The item itself looks nice, and it is very easy to use, but the sound SUCKS!!No, I don't expect Bose sound, but I would'nt expect heavy distortion!Yes, as I listened to music, what accompanied it was a constant buzzing and humming sound.I found that the only way to make the sound to go away was to set the ipod backlight to be on all of the time!Besides the humming, the sound would "crackle" if you touched the unit while it was in use.The loud humming and distortion was louder than the music.I had to crank up the volume to almost maxium setting to overpower the distortion!I returned mine, got a refund, and bought the JBL Portable Sound System (totally awsome!!!)I guess you get what you pay for; so please heed my warning, and stay faw away from this product.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product to play my ipod at home, and man, does it DELIVER!! I could NOT be more pleased!! It took about 1 minute to set up, and start enjoying the fabulous sound we've come to expect from Polk Audio. It even has a clever holster for the remote on the back.

If you're looking for something to take around with you, this may be too heavy. It's certainly easily transportable around the home, but I wouldn't want to walk around with it like a boom box. Polk makes smaller units for portability. But, if you're looking for an OUTSTANDING home docking station, this one is worth every penny and more.

Best $$ I spent since I bought the ipod...I'd give it 10 stars if I could!!!

(More customer reviews)The quality of the audio is considerably below higher end iPod Docks, but it's passable for a dorm room kind of setting.The sound is very compressed and does a decent job in the vocal frequencies and not a heck of a whole lot else.That said, the sound is better than you get with your typical Sony/iHome alarm clock iPod docks and it isn't a whole lot bigger.It also can be louder than those docks.

The ability to load in a SD card or Flash card for music is a nice feature that makes this audio system quite versatile.The remote is easy to use and fairly intuitive.Yes, you can rotate your iPod and watch TV shows and movies, but honestly, who wants to watch TV on such a tiny screen unless you're on a plane (in which case, you'd be using earphones).

The build on this unit is not particularly impressive and I'm guessing that it won't last more than three years.Then again, I won't have my iPod touch at that time either and will have moved onto something new.

If you can get this thing for less than 100 bucks, it's worth it.More than that, and you probably can do better with another dock.

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased this for my office.I wanted a small system with good sound that I can hook my ipod to.The system has good sound quality for its size.It is very easy to hook up.The only issue I find with it is that you need to point the remote directly at the stereo in order for it to work.This does not seem to be a problem for me as the stereo is in direct eye site of my desk about 30 feet away.The remote does allow you to work all the features of the ipod many other systems only allow basic functions.I am impressed with the sound quality and it provides plenty of volume to fill my office with music which is aprox. 700 sqft. One of the best stereo's I could find for the price, that included the features I required. "I purchased at Costco was less expensive." I would purchase this product again.

iLuv i277BLK iPod Alarm Clock Audio System with Bluepin (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)This is really a cool product. I was able to pair with my Mobile(HTC TyTN II), Headphone/Headset (Lubix) very easily. It got paired in the first try. The instructions are pretty clear in the manual. Music is good for the small size, Bass is less, naturally. Can't compare with Bose. The music from my Phone through the BluePin on this is really good. The Blupin Receiver was able to receive music till 15-20 feet clearly, after that it breaks. I was able to FF/RR/Stop, Adjust volume from my phone.

As a Bluetooth transmitter, it works great. I connected my TV Audio output to 277 using the line-in and change the mode to AUX with BluePin in TX mode and used a Lubix Bluetooth Head Phone/Set. The transmission was awesome.

Tested with iPod/iPhone and this works as stated. The snooze button in the front is good one. Even we can switch off the display using this. Radio works as stated. Weight less. Looks great. Has a remote but not senstive.

Actually I was searching for a Bluetooth Transmitter for my TV. The Sony and Motorola were quoted @ Amazon for $60. I thought it's pretty costly for the simple Bluetooth Transmitter of class 1. So searched the net and found this for same price. So now I have a Transmitter with multiple functionality.

So this is an All in one model.

Pros

1) Receiver for my Phone to listen music
2) Wireless Transmitter to my TV, so I can watch the TV without disturbing anybody using my Bluetooth head phone
3) Listening to iPod/Radio in Wireless mode with full control.

If you read the manual twice , it easy to understand everything.

Cons

1) The cons, I would say is that it's not Bluetooth2(has 300Ft of range) only Bluetooth1 (30 Ft range)
2) No Equalizer/Pre-set for music.
3) Remote can be made better.

(More customer reviews)Well sometimes the one you least expect and the one most likely overlooked, comes up with a winner!Emerson really surpised me.I was going to buy a Logitech MM50 but when I put them side by side, Emerson iTone iP550 won out.The Logitech had deep sound but reverberated badly.I was surpised at the clarity and pretty good bass on this model.As a matter of fact, when I put it at its height, it retained a great sound without jumping off the counter.Now, get this, what was most suprising was its cost.It was literally more than $70 cheaper than the more popular Logitech!!Okay, it doesn't have the accessories, i.e., carry bag and ultra slimness in design, but its got everything else and more: radio, preset stations, clock, sleep button, digital remote, along with stuff you would expect in the big names.And its cute too!For what you get and for the money you pay, you can't beat it.AND, if you really tell the truth, the only difference in this little guy and those "speaker-only" types, it admits to being a boom box rather than just "stereo speakers."Maybe that's why they are trying to charge more for giving you less!

(More customer reviews)This is a great little box in almost every way, and so it is more useful, I think, to say what the downside is.

The CD player remembers where it was only during the pause-state, and the pause-state doesn't last very long.Turn it off, and you've lost your place.This is a minor issue, because a small pad and pencil an resolve it.

Considering that the external FM antenna, in my location, does not have to be extended, it would have been nicer to have an FM antenna built-in and just have the external antenna for those of us far from a signal source.

Other than that, my wife has been delighted to be able to listen to any kind of current CD, her iPod, or a USB flash drive with music files on it (the drive has to be formatted as a Windows flash drive, which can be done on an OS X Mac as well as on a Windows PC), or listen to the radio.

The sound is very pleasant to listen to and is high quality considering the size of the speakers.In fact we intend to get a second one for another location in the house.

(More customer reviews)I was looking for speakers and something to keep my iPod charged while I listened to it at work and saw this advertised at Kohl's.Checked Amazon and found it for less (and in black).Most iPod boomboxes get poor reception but this one does better than most I have seen.I have the iLuv iPod boombox for use at home but wanted something a little smaller for work.Radio gets suprisingly clear reception (usually a problem in offices) and the sound is good.Defintely not useful for a party but if you want something inexpensve, portable, with good sound and an AM/FM radio, this gets the job done.My only complaint is that the LED display can be hard to see at an angle, but that is a minor issue.
