(More customer reviews)So, I happened along this item, and thought "gee this looks cool and is a good price."I have been looking for one of these systems for my ipod, but have felt that they were too expensive.Natually, when I saw that this was under $50, I could not resist. Boy I sure should have!The item itself looks nice, and it is very easy to use, but the sound SUCKS!!No, I don't expect Bose sound, but I would'nt expect heavy distortion!Yes, as I listened to music, what accompanied it was a constant buzzing and humming sound.I found that the only way to make the sound to go away was to set the ipod backlight to be on all of the time!Besides the humming, the sound would "crackle" if you touched the unit while it was in use.The loud humming and distortion was louder than the music.I had to crank up the volume to almost maxium setting to overpower the distortion!I returned mine, got a refund, and bought the JBL Portable Sound System (totally awsome!!!)I guess you get what you pay for; so please heed my warning, and stay faw away from this product.

(More customer reviews)I bought this as a low cost alternative to some of the other iPod clock radios out there and returned the first one because I was getting the same loud hissing out of the speakers like previous consumers have stated.When I exchanged it for another one, I got the same hissing.I tried multiple cradle adaptors and was about to return it again when I pulled the iPod up very slightly from the docking station.Once I did this it was crystal clear.Turns out the docking station plug is taller than most other iPod charger docks and puching it too far will create the interference.

Sorry for being long winded, but long story short, now that I have it figured out, the sound is fine and for a workplace music player this is just the thing I was looking for.Knowing what I know now about, I would recommend it.

Barbie Floweroake BAR502 Sing-a-long CD Player with Dual Mircophone Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my daughter so she could sing to her favorite Hanna Montana songs that we have downloaded. It is cute, the microphones allow the user to sing along and the voice that comes over the cd sounds good. The overall sound isn't great but for a 6-year old, this is not a huge issue. BIG PROBLEM: It won't play cds that have been burned by my computer! It SAYS in the description that it will play CD-Rs and CD-RW discs but in the owners manual it actually has a disclaimer that it won't play some discs "depending on the software used to burn the audio cd." It claims this is not a problem with the unit. Well, it is a problem. I have tried burning cds at different speeds and even went out and purchased special audio cds. I have cds that I have burned that work in the stereo, the car, other cd players. Not this one! For the price, it better play every CD I have. I'm either going to have to purchase audio cds from the store (duplicating songs I have already downloaded) or, take the stinking thing back. Merry Christmas.

(More customer reviews)I bought this CD player for it's size.We use it on our kitchen, where it fits nicely on a shelf.

Aside from being a space saver, there isn't much to say about this unit.It plays CDs fine and hasn't had any trouble playing discs I've burned using iTunes.Being able to see the disc spinning is kind of cool.

There are only two things I don't really like about this player: the AM/FM radio tuner and the volume control.The radio tuner is not digital, so you have to manually tune in a station every time you want to listen to the radio.It does seem to get pretty good reception though.The volume doesn't go up very high.Don't get me wrong, it's loud enough, it's just not loud enough for me to hear well from the other room.Of course, some might see this as a positive thing.

Overall, I would recommend this CD player if all you need are bare bones CD player functions.

(More customer reviews)My parents bought this CD player for my sister over 6 years ago. About 3 years ago, she gave it to me. I used to use it every day until I got my MP3 player. I pulled it out of my closet this morning and it still plays CDs and tapes, and the radio works great even with the antenna broken off. Most of my stuff doesn't last more than a year, and this thing has survived 3 years of my abuse and still works like the day I got it. If you want a durable, fairly cheap CD player boombox, this is your best bet. It outlasted 2 high-end Sony Boomboxes and numerous portable CD players over the years. I highly recommend this boombox not only for durability, but also great sound quality and style.
