The iYiYi from Tivoli Audio combines an iPod docking station with a built-inAM/FM tuner and alarm clock, making it the ideal iPod speaker system for radio lovers.The system's centerpiece is the universal docking station, which amplifies and rechargesany iPod with a 30-pin dock connector, including the iPod 3G/4G, iPod photo, iPodvideo, iPod mini, and iPod nano. As a result, you can listen to your favorite iPod songsand playlists in the bedroom, garage, kitchen, or any other room in the house, all withoutthe use of headphones. The iYiYi's highly sensitive AM/FM tuner, meanwhile, sportsinternal and external FM antennas and a built-in AM antenna to handle reception, whilealso offering 10 station presets (five AM and five FM) for quick and easy channeltuning. The radio even includes a seek function that automatically searches for yourfavorite stations while you listen. From an audio perspective, the iYiYi offers a pair of 3-inch, full-range, bass reflexspeakers that deliver an extended bass response and superior sound quality. Add in a blue backlit LCD display, which offers an auto-brightnesssetting while showing Radio Data System (RDS) information when available, and youhave everything you need in a portable speaker system. Other details include an alarmand a 20-minute sleep timer; settings for waking or falling asleep to the iPod or AM/FMtuner; an auxiliary input for connecting to a TV, console, computer, or MP3 player; and astereo headphone jack for private listening.
