(More customer reviews)I got this GPX brand portable dvd player a couple days ago and am so far satisfied.It does everything I expect it to.I would give this product 5 stars even were it not for one annoying feature, or rather the lack thereof.There is no menu button on the player itself!If you don't have the remote control or have lost it you won't be able to access the menu of your dvd while you're watching the feature.The only remedy I see to this is to skip to the very last chapter and fast forward to the very end forcing the menu to come up.But who wants to do this?I am a pretty responsible person and am anal about keeping the remote together with the player so this is not too big a problem for me given the remote continues to work.But I definitely see the potential for frustration.
Some things I like include the carrying case and the screen.The picture is pretty sharp, and the sound is decent.And I didn't expect there to be a carrying case in the box but it came with the player which is very nice.
So overall this product is okay.I don't regret buying it but if I knew of the menu button issue beforehand I definitely would've picked a similar player that had such a button ON the player.
And I don't use PAL discs so the player not being able to actually play those types of discs don't bother me one bit, false advertising or not.Too bad for that reviewer though.
